One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer in Savannah, Georgia, is living so close to the shore! And thankfully because of the amazing wedding vendors and venues I’ve been able to work with, we keep getting beautiful and fun weddings and elopements out on Tybee Island! I’m so happy I can share some sneak peeks from Davia and Johnathan’s wedding with you today!

Davia and Johnathan picked the perfect location for their friends and family to visit, The Beachview Bed and Breakfast. I’ve written about Beachview before, they really are the all-in-one venue down on Tybee Island. They’ve worked out so many of the details, so you can have a stress-free beach wedding on the beautiful Tybee Island. Davia and Johnathan’s wedding was a morning wedding, and everyone kept saying how nice it was to have everything so close and convenient for the family. By the way, I don’t shoot a lot of morning weddings – it was such a nice treat to have french toast during their wedding reception! Beachview does an AMAZING job with their breakfasts!

There was so much love between the family at Davia and Johnathan’s wedding. From special moments, and special gifts everything was thought out and intentional. And speaking of special moments, it was incredibly touching to see Johnathan’s son give a short but heartfelt speech to his new mom, Davia.

I’m so happy the rain held off for us, every forecast was calling for downpours! Instead we were blessed with gorgeous dramatic clouds in the distance, but bright and sunny skies above us! Every photo was taken with the Leica SL system. Most photos were taken with the m-mount 50mm Summilux, with a few taken with the 24-90SL lens. It’s so nice having a reliable system that I know can handle the sand and water that comes with shooting beach weddings!
